Sewage Treatment Operations and Analysis over ToolTime (STOAT)
STOAT is a dynamic unsteady-state wastewater treatment works modelling package used by engineers worldwide.
The software simulates the performance of individual treatment processes or entire wastewater treatment plants, including sludge treatment, recycling streams and imported wastes. STOAT enables operators and designers to assess the effects of changing flows, loads and operating conditions, helping optimise treatment performance, troubleshoot operational issues and improve effluent quality.
The software also supports training and process design activities.
Plan-It STOAT
Plan-It STOAT is a steady-state wastewater treatment works design program. It was developed in partnership with CDM, with WRc providing the treatment process modelling and CDM the hydraulics modelling.
The program provides process models for the common wastewater and sludge treatment methods and hydraulic models for many common hydraulic elements.
Integrated catchment modelling (SIMPOL ICM)
SIMPOL ICM is WRc’s whole-water-cycle modelling platform. It simulates interactions between water resources, treatment works, distribution systems, wastewater networks and receiving waters using long-term rainfall and temperature records.
The software enables users to assess future growth scenarios, climate change impacts, regulatory compliance and catchment management strategies. By representing the complete catchment within a single modelling environment, SIMPOL ICM provides a comprehensive understanding of environmental and operational performance.
