Governance
Governance that underwrites quality and confidence
Great governance is more than a set of policies. It is the framework that gives our customers confidence that every WRc service is delivered responsibly, consistently and to a high standard. It helps us make sound decisions, manage risk, protect people and the environment and focus our expertise on solving the real challenges our customers face.
Certified systems, dependable delivery
Customers trust us with complex, high-impact challenges. Our certified management systems provide the structure behind that trust, helping us deliver quality, protect the environment and maintain safe ways of working across our services.
- ISO 9001:2015 for quality management systems
- ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management systems
- ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety management systems
- ISO 45003:2021 for psychological health and safety at work
We are audited every twelve months by NQA Certification Limited, which provides regular external assurance that our systems continue to meet recognised standards and support dependable service delivery.
Accredited expertise for specialist challenges
Our laboratories hold UKAS accreditation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017. This gives customers assurance that the technical work supporting their decisions is carried out within a recognised quality framework, aligned to our accredited scope.
We also hold a Waste Carrier Licence, enabling us to support our clients within the resource recovery sector while meeting the requirements set by the UK Environment Agency.
Trusted by regulated sectors
WRc is registered on the Achilles Utilities Vendor Database, which helps utility purchasing organisations assess supplier capability and confidence. This supports customers in sectors where assurance, reliability and compliance really matter.
Leadership with accountability
WRc is part of RSK Group, an employee-owned business governed by a board of directors responsible for group strategy. That structure gives us clear accountability, while a broader group leadership team of more than 200 people helps turn strategy into action across the business.
Our inclusive leadership brings together diverse experience, backgrounds and strengths. We invest in leadership skills, support career development and promote from within wherever possible, building the capability we need to keep improving for our customers.
Always improving, always listening
Our governance is designed to keep us moving forward. We continuously improve our processes, products and services so customers can rely on WRc to deliver high-quality work and practical answers. If something does not meet expectations, we act quickly and constructively to acknowledge concerns, investigate them, resolve them and share lessons learned so that customers benefit from continual improvement.
To raise an issue, please contact WRc’s dedicated team at qpi@wrcgroup.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within three working days and investigate it within ten working days. We will then provide feedback and share the lessons learned within WRc.
