Mark is a global water sector specialist and has worked extensively in the water, wastewater and resource industries throughout his 35-year career.

A chemical engineer by profession, he is passionate about research and innovation delivering real-world solutions. Mark has led and managed water and wastewater projects on five continents and has always looked for solutions that were not just technically feasible but were also the best for the communities involved.

Since the RSK acquisition of WRc in 2020, Mark has taken up the role of RSK Group director for water, and is looking to develop work internationally with like-minded partners and associates to help deliver the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by deploying RSK’s end-to-end, bespoke solutions to address the array of challenges facing the world today.

Mark is chair of the Future Water Association, a UK-based not-for-profit trade body that aims to drive innovation, sustainability, and collaboration in the water sector. He is also a member of the Institute of Water and the Worshipful Company of Water Conservators.

Shaun has over 40 years’ experience in the water and utility sector, working for a number of global companies and consultancies, particularly in the field of programme management and delivery. His role in WRc is to provide executive oversight across all projects and innovation to ensure technical governance and compliance, using his industry and delivery experience.

His focus is making sure that the WRc service is applicable to the clients’ and industry challenges. Shaun also provides technical and expert services to support client programmes and projects and provides a link to the wider RSK businesses. He oversees WRc’s client engagement and marketing strategy, which includes services such as WRc Portfolio, and will be instrumental in WRc’s 100-year initiatives in 2027.

Catherine is an accomplished construction and infrastructure leader with a background in quantity surveying, commercial management and project management.

As director of IT&ES, she leads multidisciplinary teams delivering specialist technical, environmental and field services, driving operational excellence, sustainable growth and innovation.

Combining strong commercial acumen with practical delivery expertise, Catherine is passionate about developing high-performing teams, improving business performance and delivering measurable value for clients across the utilities, infrastructure and environmental sectors.

Kathy has over 30 years’ technical consultancy experience specialising in waste characterisation to support resource recovery, waste classification and environmental risk assessment within the circular economy.

She is a Chartered Scientist, Chartered Environmentalist, Chartered Resource and Waste Manager and a member of CIWM’s hazardous waste Special Interest Group.

Ciaran leads WRc’s project management office and is responsible for developing a community of skilled, professional PMs delivering high-quality work for our clients and partners. He has over 20 years’ experience running projects for a wide range of regulated and non-regulated clients, developing pioneering solutions to a range of complex issues.

Glen joined WRc in 2020 and is part of the executive team. He has specialised in leakage and water resources planning for more than 23 years, having previously worked for Jacobs and South Staffs Water. Glen was involved in business planning and water resources planning between PR09 and PR24 and has also undertaken technical assurance for water companies during his career.

He continues to support UK water companies and is involved in the delivery of many international projects.

Barbara is an ACCA-qualified accountant with over ten years of experience across a diverse range of industries, working with organisations from entrepreneurial start-ups to large multinational businesses. As head of finance, she leads a commercially focused team that provides financial reporting, insight and strategic support to WRc and other businesses within the RSK Group.

Barbara is passionate about modernising finance through streamlined, automated processes that improve efficiency and enhance decision-making. She works closely with leadership teams to provide clear, accurate financial insight that helps shape business strategy, drive positive change and maintain momentum, ensuring the organisation has the direction, confidence and stability to achieve its long-term goals.

Susannah has over 25 years’ experience as an HR Partner with a strong track record supporting organisational performance, culture and growth.

She works closely with senior leaders to deliver strategic people initiatives that align with business objectives, whilst fostering an inclusive, respectful and high-performing workplace.
